When you call 352-578-0729, we ask a handful of questions before we ever quote a number. Is it a single door or a double? Steel or wood-look composite?
Torsion springs mounted over the opening or on a side jamb? Most houses in this part of Florida went up between 1973 and 2015, with a lot of that stock clustered in the 1980s and 90s, so we can usually guess the hardware generation before we arrive - but a guess isn't a quote.
A real price needs to see the door. Spring size depends on door weight, which changes with insulation, window inserts, and whether the panels have been swapped before. A track that looks bent from the driveway can be a five-minute adjustment or a full replacement, and the only way to tell the difference is a level and a tape measure in your garage.
We don't do phone-quote-then-upsell. If we tell you a range on the phone, treat it as a range, not a commitment. The number we write on the invoice is the number we saw with our own eyes, standing in front of your opener.

Whoever shows up at your door is there to look at the actual problem, not to read a script. They'll open and close the door a few times, check spring tension by hand, look at the rollers and cable condition, and tell you straight whether a repair holds up or whether you're throwing money at a door that's done. In this mild temperate climate we don't get the freeze-thaw damage that wrecks tracks up north, so most of what we see is wear from age and use, not weather.
We don't send a different person to quote than to do the work. The person standing in your garage writing the number is the person who can also do the job that day if parts are on the truck.
What We Will Not Do
We won't quote a spring replacement over the phone without seeing the door - torsion spring wire size and wind count vary enough between a 1987-built house and a 2015-built one that a guess is just a guess, and a wrong spring is a safety problem, not a convenience issue.
We won't tell you a repair will hold if it won't. Some doors, especially ones already patched two or three times, cost more to keep fixing than to replace. When that's the case we say so, even though it means a smaller job that day.
We don't stock every panel style or color on the truck. If your door needs a specific match - an insulated panel, a particular window insert - that part may need to be ordered, and we'll tell you the wait before you commit, not after.
We don't do work outside garage doors and openers - no general handyman jobs, no gate systems, no gutters. If it's not the door, the track, the spring, the opener, or the panel, it's outside what we quote.
